JPMA expands staff, deepens tax and family law resources

JPMA has added two more attorneys, bringing the total number of lawyers with the firm to six and deepening its resources in tax litigation, financial planning, family law and mediation.

Toni Dillon served nearly five years as an attorney and a law clerk at a tax-focused law practice before joining Joseph P. McCaffery & Associates. She brings to the firm expertise in tax liability issues, including negotiating settlements and installment agreements with the Internal Revenue Service, and estate planning.  Toni also has counseled clients in forming new business entities.

Toni graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Her extensive experience in real estate transactions and mortgage processing offers keen insight to JPMA’s mortgage foreclosure and consumer fraud practice.

Meghen Pitts focuses on conflict resolution and family law.  Prior to joining Joseph P. McCaffery & Associates, she served as a mediator with New Justice Conflict Resolution Services, Inc., in Syracuse, N.Y.

A graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, Meghen was certified in the New York State Mediator Training Program.  Her experience with The Family Law Project in Ann Arbor, Mich., provided opportunities for Meghen to work with survivors of domestic violence and solidified her commitment to working in family law.

As an undergraduate at North Central College in Naperville, Ill., Meghen was awarded the Presidential Scholarship as she completed her bachelor's degree in political science with minors in Spanish and history of ideas and conflict resolution.  She also earned two Richter Fellowships, giving her the opportunity to observe the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.
