You want to play, you've got to pay. That's the law.

The Daly Herald today reported on a Kane County sting that targets unlicensed drivers who drive to court.

According to the article, Hector Ramirez pleaded guilty Wednesday to driving with a revoked license, then got behind the wheel to head home from the Kane County Judicial Center in St. Charles.   Ramirez was one of 10 motorists caught up in a police surveillance sting targeting defendants who drove away from court with revoked or suspended licenses.

"You want to play, you've got to pay. That's the law," Ramirez reportedly told the Daily Herald.

Ramirez went on to talk about the Catch-22 unlicensed drivers faced when having to appear in court, or for a family emergency, when they can't find a ride.
